The festival of the arts

Today for the festival of arts we we had a go at our lines. We also practiced the dance that we learned on Thursday.

today we had mr maddren and we had to make a Uru Manuka logo.

all the colours i have use mean something.

brown- reliable,solid,masculine and earthly aura

blue-professionalism,trust,authority,power and loyaity

pink-feminism,innocence,youth and beauty

green-harmony,natural,healthy,renewal and plentiful

white-pure,peaceful,spiritual,clean and goodwill

This week we have been doing poetry Alyscia and I put our poems in the same slide because we thought it would be cool so Alyscia and I explained whats a limerick poem and what our lines mean to it will help you understand what these poems are about.

Accessing water from flowers

how much water does flower drink in a week 

aim- i want to find out how much water flowers drink in a week

method-  we will be getting a cup to put our water in and fill that cup up half way. Go find a good flower and put it in the cup of water and a week later you check you flower and she how much water the flower drunk in a week and after measure the water to see how much water is left

equipment-

-a flower from the garden-a cup-water-ruler

Fill beaker ( or cup ) Half Way with water

get a smaller beaker ( or cup ) and put against bigger one

then put a small bunch of flowers from your garden and place it in the water ( in bigger beaker or a cup)

Now you r finished just wait over night or a week and measure how much the flowers drank

this was the results

The flower drunk just a little bit of water not the hole half the flower looks a bit died and dry 

there was nothing in the other cup the flower also looks really sad the flower looks like it needs water but the flower as been in water for lover a week so it does not need water all of the petals are falling off.

i want to achieve today to go on the high beam and go on bars.

i did not learn anything today because i was doing everything i all ready knew and i did back bend standing up,a side back bend and the cartwheel me and alyscia did beam and i told her things to do that where on a a piece of paper so i did not really learn anything witch is ok bec ause i was doing stuff i all ready know and i love to do all the stuff i all ready knew how to do

Sport netball

Today is Friday and we do sport on Fridays I play netball but I could not play because I hurt myself so I got to take photos so here are some of the photos I took of the netball games.

Hauora in sience

Aim-  I want to find out how far for my germs spread if i sneeze

equipment- 

1-food coloring (blue,green,red,purple,pink and yellow)
2-tissues (optional)
3-butcher paper

4-plastic cups

5-tape (optional)

method-

1- lay the paper out in a straight line as far and 5 meters

2- get a plastic cup and full with as much water as 100 ml

3- then put 10 drops of food coloring in the cup of water

4-then put some colored water in you mouth (do not swallow it)

5-then spit some of the water out (not all of it)

6-take a tissue roll up a corner and stick it up your nose and try to sneeze

7-if you don't sneeze then pretend to sneeze well spiting the water out

8-when you sneeze remember to look ahead of you

9-measure how far you sneeze, mark your name where you sneezed
